Ingredients

  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 Onion (medium sized)
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 300 gms pasta
  • Black pepper (ground)
  • 4 tbsp cheddar cheese (grated)

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta in boiling water
  • Peel and chop the onion(s) and finely chop or crush the garlic
  • Heat the oil in a saucepan and add the onion and garlic
  • Gently fry over medium heat until soft
  • Chop the tomatoes or crush them and then add them to the saucepan and simmer gently for about 7 minutes
  • Drain the pasta, then add to the sauce and sprinkle the grated cheese on top
  • Serve with a side salad
