Doughnuts or donuts as others refer to them, are sapid and indulgent. Today we will be diving deep into the process of preparing doughnuts at home. The surprising thing is that they are so easy to prepare and you don’t need special culinary skills to do it. Let’s get started.

Ingredients

  • 500 g All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Instant yeast
  • A pinch of salt
  • 30 gms Margarine
  • 80 gms Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 260 ml Water or milk
  • 2 teaspoons Cardamom powder

Instructions

  • Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.
  • Add lukewarm water or milk into the bowl and knead into a smooth soft dough.
  • Allow to rise for 30 minutes in a warm place.
  • Pinout the dough and cut the doughnuts.
  • Allow to rise again for 30 minutes in a warm place.
  • Deep fry in hot oil.
  • Decorate the doughnuts using melted white or dark chocolate and sprinkles of your choice.
